Svitlana Fiorito, began her piano studies at the age of five and has had a versatile background in performance, accompanying, teaching and music education. She received Bachelor Degrees from Liatoshinsky Music College and Masters from National Academy of Arts, Kharkov, Ukraine. Her teachers were Nikolay Dubinenko, Viktor Siryatsky, Igor Ryabov and Therese Dussout.
Mrs. Fiorito has been teaching piano to children as young as 4 years old to College Students for 30 years. Svitlana was faculty member and visiting lecturer at the Liatoshinsky Music College, Ukraine. Also, she worked as adjudicator in several national and international piano competitions and festivals.
Svitlana's performance, pedagogical, and educational background provides a stylistic way of teaching, which caters towards the individual’s development and needs. Healthy technique, musicality, and creativity are main components of her teaching and her specialization in early childhood paves the path for a developmentally appropriate way for beginners and advanced students alike.
Mrs. Fiorito students has won more than two hundred awards at state, national and international competitions including Ettlingen International Competition for Young Pianists, Washington International Young Artist Competition in D.C., "Musica Classica" Music Festival in Spain, Honors Recital from Piano Teachers Congress of New York, Eastern Division Competition from MTNA, Renee B. Fisher Competition, Chopin Avenue International Competition in Hong Kong, IPPA Intl. Copetition in Italy and more.
They have been invited to perform at the Kennedy Center for the Arts, U.S. State Department, Aspen Music Festival, Eppan Music Academy in Italy, Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Arts Center, Merkin Hall, Warsaw Philharmonic Hall, Conventional Center in Dallas, TX and Historique du Bon Pasteur, Montreal, Canada. In addition, her students have performed with Tianjing Symphony Orchestra in China, Greenwich Symphony, Ridgefield Symphony, North Shore Symphony, Island Chamber, New Britain Virtuosi Orchestra, American Chamber Orchestra and Plainfield Symphony Orchestras; on TV and Radio Stations.
Zhanna Cascello lived and studied in Ukraine before moving to United States. She started her music studies at six years old at the Ismail School of Music. Ms. Cascello holds a BM in piano performance and pedagogy from The Odessa National A.V. Nezhdanova Academy of Music, Ukraine.
She begin teaching piano in Odessa Music School No 6. Upon immigrating to the U.S. she worked at the James Daniel Music School and Stamford Music & Arts Academy, and also gave lessons to private students.
Ms. Cascello has more than 25 years of teaching experience specializing in hand positioning and early age technique development.
She is a member of The Schubert Club and Music Teacher National Association.
Her most talented students, as young as five years old, have performed at Carnegie Hall. They won many prizes at prestigious competitions such as Deborah Kahan Competition from CSMTA, Elite International Music Competition, Young Artist Showcase, Schubert Club Awards Competition, Suzanne Culley Competition, and National Young Maestro Competition. Ms. Cascello's students have also performed at the Young Musician's Festival achieving Gold Awards.
